Scott County Veterinary Clinic has been owned and operated by Dr. Karen Hancock Young since January 2012. Since then, Dr. Young has been joined by Dr. Schell, Dr. Hubert, Dr. Gover, and Dr. Sciba to form an amazing team of care providers for your pets with a wide range of specialties. We provide care for everything from pocket pets to farm animals and all creatures in between, although we’re passionate most about our canine and feline patients. We love all of our patients as if they were our own and we look forward to falling in love with your furry family members!

We recently kenneled our very large dog at the Scott County Veterinary Clinic for 5 days while we were out of town, and the experience was fantastic. I met Dr. Young in a Bible study and knew where I’d be taking my new puppy when I got her. I had to take said puppy, now 4, in for an emergency appointment after she had her first known seizure. I appreciated the Christian music I heard while briefly sitting in the waiting room. We saw Dr. Gover for the first time. He answered my questions, eased my concerns, and made sure I was satisfied with the appointment before we left. The entire staff was, and has always been, compassionate and caring.
